Tanner Johnson – The Alchemist

With over a decade of experience in the landscape and construction industry, Tanner has mastered the art of transformation, turning ordinary spaces into extraordinary works of art. His journey began right out of high school as a laborer on a landscaping crew. His hard work and dedication quickly propelled him into leadership roles, eventually leading him to take over his family’s concrete business and expand it across the Twin Cities and Midwest.

As a Project Manager at MH3, he brings a rare combination of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to every project. His ability to blend Mother Nature, art, and unique materials into breathtaking landscapes has earned him the nickname, “The Alchemist”.

Beyond his hands-on experience, Tanner earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Writing Studies from the University of Minnesota at Duluth. This has equipped him with strong communication skills that ensure clarity and collaboration across our projects. He excels in working with all our crews, vendors, clients, and stakeholders during the course of our projects.

Outside of work, Tanner embraces an active and adventurous lifestyle. He spends his free time disc golfing, kayaking, camping, hiking, reading, writing, attending live music events, bouldering, and hitting the gym. He thrives on connecting with new communities, exploring different perspectives, and immersing himself in nature. These diverse experiences fuel his creativity, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to every MH3 Design Group project.
