Mark Hauri - The Creative Genius
Mark started down his career path the summer after eighth grade when a family friend suggested he work for her boyfriend’s landscape company. Five days a week, he rode his bike three miles to work, hopped in the Yardmaster’s truck, and dug in!
Little did he know that a summer job in 1987 would inspire a passion for landscaping that would drive him the rest of his life. Throughout high school and college summers, Mark rose through the ranks, literally “from the ground up,” starting as a laborer, then advancing to foreman, supervisor, project manager, salesman, and principal designer. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in Horticulture and Theory of Design, he officially began his career as an Independent Landscape Designer in 1995.
Mark’s unique designs have been featured on HGTV and in the pages of Architectural Digest, Midwest Homes, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, and Build. Developing close connections, he’s also become the personal landscape designer of choice for many of his clients, designing and installing landscapes in California, Washington, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Wisconsin, and the great state of Minnesota.
The “Wile E. Coyote” of the landscape design world, Mark cleverly stalks unique and creative ideas, luxurious materials, and innovative concepts, which help him pull off his title as the Creative Genius. Beep-beep!
